Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes. Every tool here is free, with no sign-up and no watermarks.
Do I need to upload my files?
No. Everything runs as JavaScript in your browser tab — files are processed in memory and never sent anywhere.
Will the converted file look exactly like the original?
It depends on the direction. PDF to PowerPoint is a pixel-perfect snapshot of each page. PDF to Word and PDF to Excel extract text and rebuild it, so complex layouts, tables, and images may not carry over exactly. Word/PowerPoint/Excel to PDF preserve headings, paragraphs, and table data, but not every visual style. Each tool's page explains exactly what to expect.
What file types are supported?
PDF, DOCX (Word), PPTX (PowerPoint), and XLSX/XLS/CSV (Excel), depending on which direction you're converting.
How it works
Choose a tool
Pick from the grid above — organize, convert, or whatever's next as we add more.
Drop your files
They load straight into this tab's memory — no upload happens.
Download the result
Gotool.xyz hands the finished file back to you. That's the whole job.
Your files are never uploaded. Gotool.xyz runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. Your files are processed in memory and never touch a server — nothing to breach, nothing to clean up. Close the tab and it's like it never happened. The only thing we count is which tool ran (just the name, e.g. "merge") so we know what people find useful — never your file, its name, its size, or anything in it.
